2A. PERMIT WAIVER WITH DRIVERS EDUCATION
Must be 15 years old or older.
You are eligible for your permit up to 10 days before class starts.
Call 360.892.6988 and tell us your DOL-generated (WDL) Permit number. Driving 101 needs the 'WDL' number and a payment or contract on your file before you are eligible for a Permit.

We will email you to let you know it is on file. Do not go to the Department of Licensing until you get our email. The state will not issue a permit unless this action is completed.
2B. TESTING WITHOUT DRIVERS EDUCATION
Must be 15 1/2 years old or older.
COME TO DRIVING 101 FOR TESTING anytime Monday - Friday 10 - 4 pm
Pay $40 to take the Knowledge Exam
Bring a photo ID & your WA state-issued WDL number
3. GETTING YOUR PERMIT, PHOTO PERMIT VS. NON-PHOTO PERMIT
PERMITS ARE ISSUED THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF LICENSING, $25 for a one-year permit.
3A. GET YOUR NON-PHOTO PERMIT ONLINE (MUST BE UNDER 18 YEARS OLD)

Complete the process and confirm your information is correct. Parent or guardian information must match exactly as reflected on their driver record.
Go back to the account's home screen. It will now say, "View temporary documents." Click it to print your permit.
OR 3B. GET YOUR PHOTO PERMIT Go to the DOL to get your WA Permit issued.
Bring a State ID to prove your identity.
