The Columbian newspaper recently ran an article on what we here at Driving 101 have nicknamed "Orchards Lake". Anyone that drives on NE 117th Ave heading northbound will know that the area directly in front of the Goodwill Outlet floods all the way up on the sidewalk on a regular basis. Numerous motorists have had their vehicles breakdown during, or right after driving through the unexpected body of water. As the Columbian states, in their article below, NE 117th Ave. is a state highway. WSDOT recently announced that they will be hiring a construction crew to fix the problem this summer. What a relief!
